Dialers

Dialers, when abused are particularly nasty programs that install from an .exe file (sometimes even automatically) to add a new connection to your 'Dial-Up Networking'. The new connection is often a premium rate number so be careful. Dialers tend not to function if you have a broadband connection.

To help protect your system against these programs, I advise you to not accept certificates from sites your unsure of. Some Dialers can bi-pass this, I also recommend a good firewall like ZoneAlarm or try another listed in our Downloads section.
